1. Pray - Billy and his whole family are believers in Christ and he is confident of his relationship with God through Christ.  Our Heavenly Father is the Great Physician and we have placed our faith in him.  Whatever comes of this process, we will trust God!  We do ask for your prayers for God's hand to be on Billy, his family and the Doctor's and Staff at UAB.

2. Financial Needs - There will be a lot of "out of pocket" expenses as this process takes place. In and effort to deal with these expenses, Billy and Joanne have signed up with The National Transplant Assistance Fund This organization (NTAF) is a not-for-profit resource whose mission is to help raise funds for transplant and catastrophic injury patients by providing families and communities with many resources and by receiving and dispersing funds that are donated on their behalf.  You can donate to help in this cause if you would like.  Just visit the Donation page to learn how you can participate.  Eventually you will be donate Online using a secure web site, by telephone or by mail.

3. Alabama State Employees can help by donating Sick Leave to Billy's wife Joanne.  She has already used up countless hours over the last year or more as Billy has gone through the diagnosis process.  She will obviously need to be with him the majority of the time he spends in Birmingham during his hospitalization and the 8 to 10 weeks of recovery that will require him to stay within 20 minutes of the hospital.  She will be out of leave early on in this process.  If you are a State of Alabama Employee and would consider donating sick leave to her, please email us at eluckie@luckieweb.com and let us know how to contact you.
